The Yugoslav 90 mm M79 Osa hand-held rocket launcher is
intended for close anti-tank combat. It is an infantry non-stop
missile for multiple needs, which can be effectively used against
armored vehicles at distances up to 350 m and against stationary
targets such as manpower and firepower in bunkers and fortified
objects at distances up to 600 m.
In terms of construction and principle of operation, the RBR Axis is
similar to the French LRAC F1 launcher. The M79 system consists
of a hand-held rocket launcher, a container rocket and spare tools
and accessories.
