    Description

Orlik pipes have an exceptionally strong following like such other English makes as Loewe & Co. and are renowned for being some of the finest smokers ever made. It's rare to find the Deluxe unsmoked but this treasure came from a collector who had set aside many of the most classic shapes they ever made and never saw flame. The L154 is a sleek Poker Variant with a Vase or Dublin style bowl that offers extra thick walls with a relatively modest chamber. At only 26g it makes for a perfect clencher! Shank is sturdy and round transitioning about 1/4 of the way up the bowl and meets the original down-turned vulcanite stem with fishtail bit, innertube still present, and signature brass ring logo inlaid. Finish is a warm Root Briar type with some reddish undertones while the briar displays amazing birdseye on the flanks with fine cross grain to the front and rear just offset all while showing incredible depth.  A lovely pipe indeed, this one awaits its first smoke after almost 60 years!
