Description

Today we are pleased to offer for sale a very unusual piece that was used to recount the Historic Visit of Pope John Paul to New York in 1995.  What you are looking at is a web-based printing press plate that was used by the New York Times to print the paper that was sold on October 18, 1995.  Modern printing presses use a process called computer-to-plate laser technology to etch designs on aluminum printing plates.  There are 4 plates, one for each color, cyan, magenta, yellow and black.  This plate is one of the actual plates used to print this article.  It is in excellent condition and perfect for framing.  It measures 22 7/8" x 13 3/8" and is 25mm thick.
This would make an excellent purchase for anyone who enjoys collecting historic or religious events that occurred in New York City.  Thank you for visiting us today and if you have any questions regarding this item please contact us through Ebay.
Should you decide to purchase this item we will also send you a complete text version of the article.
