Description
LEGEND OF THE APACHE TEARDROP Native American doll by Cindy McClure for Ashton-Drake (2002).She is the first issue in the first edition of the Native American Legends Collection by renowned doll artist Cindy McClure for Ashton Drake. She is seriously beautiful in every detail. Her costume is covered in beads and faux leather tassles all around. I took loads of pictures for you to see every detail.
She is seated on the rock and the metal piece is her stand. There is an opening between her legs for the prongs to be inserted and you then insert the small end into the opening in the rock. Carefully adjust both ends until she is sitting like in the picture, the rock is molded for her leg to rest there.
Legend of the Apache Teardrop Native American Doll is hand crafted porcelain and numbered A4122 and is now retired. She is in excellent condition, still in plastic and in original box with styrofoam packaging. Certificate of authenticity and original papers included, including hangtag. Her pamphlet tells the story of how this Native American doll got her name, supposedly there was a black stone which represented where her tears fell, but her necklace she holds does not have a black stone. That is the only thing I can find to point out, otherwise I dont see any issues with the doll, her clothes or accessories. She is a stunning doll, uniquely created to be more than an ordinary porcelain doll.
The box is not perfect and has edge and corner wear consistent with shelf wear and its age. It is in good condition, no rips or tears, see pics and zoom in. If you need perfect, please don't buy.
Please review the description and pictures and ask any questions before making a decision to purchase. NO RETURNS. Shipping in USA only, normally by USPS, but with the size and weight of the box, most likely will ship by Fedex. Thank you for looking at my auction.
